Psychologist SOW:
Locations:

Purpose / Overview
The Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services for claimants within our program, including biopsychosocial examinations, psychological and developmental assessments, therapeutic intervention, case management, documentation, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. The role supports service delivery in compliance with relevant state, federal and facility regulations, as well as accepted community standards of care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
In addition to your initial list, here’s an expanded, more detailed set of responsibilities:
Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial examinations of claimants, including history (medical, psychosocial, developmental, vocational) and current functioning.Administer, score, interpret, and report on standardized psychological, developmental, cognitive-deficit, personality, neuropsychological, and/or behavioral assessments.Conduct diagnostic interviews, mental status examinations, and collaborate with medical/rehabilitation providers as needed.Identify psychological, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and neuro-/developmental issues (e.g., PTSD, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, substance‐use, traumatic brain injury residuals).Provide diagnostic impressions and integrate findings into written reports with clear recommendations regarding treatment, accommodation, functional limitations, return-to-work or participation capacity.
Treatment Planning & Therapeutic Intervention: Develop individualized treatment plans (including goals, measurable outcomes, interventions) grounded in evidence-based practice.Provide individual, family, or (where applicable) group therapy/counseling sessions.Monitor progress toward goals, adjust interventions as indicated, and document these adjustments.Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed.Recommend referrals to other providers (psychiatrists, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, substance use treatment) and coordinate care with those providers.
Case Management & Coordination: Collaborate with rehabilitation specialists, medical providers, vocational counselors, case managers, claims examiners, and other stakeholders (especially relevant in your programmatic/contract context).Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (e.g., claims review, return-to-work planning, functional capacity evaluation debriefs).Provide psychological consultation to staff, leadership, and other providers regarding behavioral health, functional capacity, risk management, and programmatic trends.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare high‐quality intake summaries, assessment reports, case summaries, progress notes, and discharge summaries.Chart claimant treatment and progress in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations, as well as accreditation/ethical standards (e.g., American Psychological Association Code of Ethics).Maintain confidential records and ensure timely completion of documentation in the electronic health record (or contract documentation system).Generate periodic programmatic or contract‐required reporting, including quality metrics, outcome data, utilization statistics, and trends.Provide written and/or oral testimony or summary reports for internal/external stakeholders (e.g., insurance carriers, legal proceedings, regulatory audits) if required.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an APA-accredited program (or equivalent).Active and unrestricted license to practice psychology in the relevant state(s).Demonstrated knowledge of psychological testing techniques: administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing.Proficiency in therapy modalities, assessment tools, and diagnostic frameworks (DSM-5/ICD-10).Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex clinical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, cultural competence, and professional development.    



Audiologist SOW:

Purpose / Overview
The Audiologist will provide comprehensive audiologic services for claimants (Veterans in this case) within our program, including Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams, hearing & balance assessments, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation, device fitting/monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. The role supports service delivery in compliance with relevant federal, state and facility regulations, as well as accepted community standards of care.

Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct C&P (Compensation & Pension) exams for Veterans, including but not limited to taking detailed health and hearing histories, performing diagnostic assessments (pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, bone conduction, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, otoacoustic emissions where required).Administer, score and interpret audiometric test results and other diagnostic data to identify and monitor hearing and balance disorders.Evaluate vestibular/balance issues when indicated, in collaboration with relevant specialists.Provide medical‐diagnostic impressions and opinions (e.g., on causation, functional impact, service-connection) for claimants, integrating audiologic findings with clinical and service history.Identify the need for referrals to other disciplines (ENT, neurology, physical therapy, vestibular rehab) when indicated.
Treatment Planning & Intervention: Develop individualized treatment plans or recommendations based on assessment outcomes (e.g., hearing conservation, amplification/assistive devices, balance rehabilitation, tinnitus management, auditory rehabilitation) tailored to Veteran population.Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids, amplification devices, cochlear or bone‐anchored implants, assistive listening systems (when within scope).Conduct follow‐up evaluations to monitor device performance, hearing status changes, compliance, and patient satisfaction.Provide counseling and education to Veterans, families and support persons on hearing loss, assistive technologies, communication strategies (lip reading, assistive devices, environmental modifications), and hearing conservation.Manage tinnitus, hyperacusis or auditory processing issues as part of the audiologic rehabilitation program.
Case Management & Coordination: Coordinate care with rehabilitation specialists, claims examiners, hearing conservation programs, medical providers, Veterans Affairs (VA) or other relevant agencies/contract stakeholders.Participate in multi‐disciplinary team meetings (claims review, return-to-work, hearing loss compensation, veteran transition services).Provide expert input in case‐reviews regarding functional auditory capacity, service-connection of hearing or vestibular disorders for Veterans, compensation implications, accommodations in workplace or daily living.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare timely, unbiased, complete documentation of all Veteran care, assessments, device fittings, follow‐ups and opinions in compliance with law, regulation, and established policy.Maintain accurate and confidential records (intake summaries, case summaries, progress notes, device logs, audit trails) in accordance with federal, state, facility, and contract standards.Generate periodic reporting as required by contract/funding agency: metrics on volume of exams, outcomes, device dispensing, complaints/corrections, veteran satisfaction, service backlog, productivity.Provide written and/or oral testimony, expert opinions or summaries when required for claims, legal proceedings or regulatory reviews.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate (Au.D.), or Master’s (M.A., M.S., Ed.D) in Audiology or equivalent degrees (Doctor of Education in Audiology, Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology) as specified.Active and unrestricted audiologist license in the state in which exams are performed.Certification from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) (e.g., CCC-A) or completion of master’s/doctorate level through an ASHA-accredited program.Demonstrated experience (preferably 2 + years) in audiology role, ideally including diagnostic testing, device fitting, veteran or compensation/claims population.Knowledge of audiometric testing procedures, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, vestibular assessment (where applicable), hearing aid fitting and assistive listening device technologies.      



Nurse Practitioner SOW:

Purpose / Overview: The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced clinical and assessment services to claimants (including those requiring compensation & pension (C&P) evaluations), including health histories, physical/diagnostic assessments, formulatory of medical diagnoses/opinions, documentation, quality-and-compliance activities, and collaboration with the broader healthcare/claims team. The role supports service delivery in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, agency policy, and accepted standards of care.

Assessment & Diagnosis: Obtain comprehensive health histories (medical, occupational, claimant/trauma exposure, psychosocial) from claimants, including relevant service-/work-/injury-related context.Perform advanced physical assessments/examinations, order, perform, interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKG, etc.) as applicable.  Formulate medical diagnoses and clinical opinions based on assessment and evaluation, including opinions relevant to compensation & pension (C&P) context (service-connection, functional limitations, causation).Identify acute, chronic, co-morbid conditions, and make appropriate referrals or escalate to specialist/physician as needed.
Treatment Planning & Management:Develop individualized care plans that integrate diagnostic findings, claimant needs, regulatory/contract requirements, and functional/return-to-work or claimant capacity considerations.Initiate or recommend treatments, therapeutics, follow-up plans, preventive strategies, health education and lifestyle modification. NPs are known to manage acute & chronic conditions as part of their scope.  Monitor outcomes, adjust care plans as needed, coordinate follow-up visits, labs, imaging, and reviews of effectiveness.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare timely, legible, complete documentation of all claimant care in accordance with law, regulation, contract/agency policy, and established guidelines (‘SOAP’ notes, progress notes, summary reports).Ensure documentation is accurate, defensible, and audit‐ready (particularly for C&P evaluations).Maintain confidential records, manage record retention, privacy, data integrity and security.Provide reports or summaries required for claims adjudication, oversight, quality review, veteran/claimant status, programmatic metrics.
Claims & C&P-Specific Responsibilities: Conduct C&P evaluations, including claimant health histories linked to service/injury, performing assessments/tests relevant to the claim, and rendering objective medical opinions on causation, disability, functional impact and service‐connection.Ensure that medical opinions conform to regulatory criteria, contractual guidelines, and full transparency/bias‐awareness (i.e., documentation suitable for claims/compensation purposes).Coordinate with claims examiners, legal/forensic teams, and veterans’ services (or claimant services) to provide required documentation, attend meetings or hearings when required.
Quality Assurance, Compliance & Programmatic Activities: Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI), utilization review, performance measurement, peer review, audits, to ensure care meets contract/federal/state standards.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to clinical practice, scope of practice, licensure, certifications, privacy (e.g., HIPAA), risk management, claimant rights.Apply safety principles, infection control, universal precautions, adverse event reporting, safety culture.Engage in professional development/continuing education to remain current with technologies/practices, scope of practice changes, regulatory updates.Provide mentorship/training to other staff or NP/PA/clinical team if required, contribute to policy/procedure revision, drive improvements in claimant care workflows.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Master’s or Doctorate preferred) and certification/licensure as Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the applicable state(s).Current, active RN license and NP certification/license in the state(s) of practical operation.Demonstrated experience (preferably at least 2 years) in relevant clinical practice, ideally with exposure to advanced assessment, diagnostic testing, claimant/occupational/compensation evaluations.For Physician Assistant alternative (if applicable): Completion of the required PA educational program and certification (NCCPA) and state accreditation per role statement.Strong knowledge of assessment, evaluation, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, documentation standards, regulatory/claims environment.  



Physician Assistant SOW:
Location:
Warwick, RI / Wexford, PA

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams, Separation Health Assessments (SHAs), and Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) evaluations. Perform objective assessments only — no treating, prescribing, or diagnosing. Take health histories, perform assessments, and order/interpret diagnostic testing as required. Document claimant carefully, accurately, and in compliance with law, regulation, and VA policy. Apply assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation principles in formulating medical opinions. Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to claimant rights while ensuring safety principles are followed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge through continuing education and training on current practices. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including confidentiality and risk management. Participate in quality improvement and utilization review initiatives.·Interact with claimants, families, and staff with professionalism, courtesy, and tact. Adapt to fluctuating caseloads while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and service standards. Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.

Must-Have: Completion of a four-year physician assistant baccalaureate program plus one year of clinical training, OR a two-year accredited PA program with two years of undergraduate study plus two years of clinical training. State accreditation based on certifying exam. 2–4 years of related experience (Veteran/military evaluation experience preferred). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deliver objective, detailed, and professional assessments.
